The training modules of the core stream, which reflect the core topics of the CCAC Recommended Syllabus for an Institutional Animal User Training Program, are relevant to the training of all animal users (including investigators, post-doctoral fellows, research staff and graduate students).
Canadian Council on Animal Care Training Modules
Revised: September, 2015
These training modules are intended as resources that institutions and Animal Care Committees (ACCs) may use to ensure their animal users meet the theoretical training requirements of their institutional animal user training program. They may also be used by teachers to introduce the topic of ehtical use and care of animals in their courses.
These training modules are relevant to investigators, post-doctoral fellows, research staff and graduate students who work with wildlife.
These reference materials are relevant to investigators, post-doctoral fellows, research staff and graduate students who work with wild or captive fish.
It is important for users to understand that these training templates are meant to be used by competent trainers in trainer-trainee situations. They are not standard operating procedures, and in no way do they comprise stand-alone training for persons wishing to work responsibly with fish.
