Girls Learning Code: Programming with Python

Girls Learning Code is a beginner level workshop for girls 8-13 years old and their parent or guardian; it is put on by Ladies Learning Code. Attendees will get to learn the fundamentals of Python, including, algorithms, functions, variables and conditions. At the end of the day, girls and their guardians will get to make their very own website and game from scratch. The workshop focuses on how code can change the world through teamwork, creativity and technology.

Where: Applied Science Building, Computing Science Instructional Lab (CSIL) – 9000 level, Simon Fraser University, 8888 University Drive, Burnaby
When: Saturday, May 28 10:00AM – 4:00PM
Price: By Donation (suggested donation $30)
Who: Girls aged 8-13 and their Parent/Guardian
