Girls Learning Code: Webmaking with HTML & CSS

Girls Learning Code is a beginner level workshop for girls 8-13 years old and their parent or guardian; it is put on by Ladies Learning Code. Attendees will get to learn how to use creativity to build an online web presence using Mozilla Thimble, an easy-to-use online webmaking platform. Girls will learn HTML and CSS basics by hacking pre-existing text, links, images and videos on various templates. At the end of the day, girls and their guardians will get to make their very own website and game from scratch. Fundamental concepts of code, such as divs, classes and ids will enforce organization and prepare the girls to continue creating  - at home and at school. 

When: Saturday, June 4 10:00AM – 4:00PM

Price: By Donation (suggested donation $30)
Who: Girls aged 8-13 and their Parent/Guardian
