Let's Talk Science at the University of Victoria has a special opportunity for students in Grades 9-12 who are interested in research and/or women in science! Participants will choose a topic surrounding the theme of Women in Science (for example, the contributions of a particular scientist, the overall impact of women on a specific field of science, the impact of women in organizations and government, etc.), do preliminary research on their topic, and then begin to formulate their research into a 12-15 minute presentation.

The research and project will culminate with the "Let's Talk Women in Science" evening on April 13th, where students will present their research to audience members from the community, friends of Let's Talk Science, and student family and friends. A winner will be chosen based on the quality of the research and how well the research is presented.

To aid students in finishing their projects and answer any questions, LTS UVic will hold an evening workshop on April 4th with mentors available to provide help if necessary.

The deadline to sign up for this research project and presentation is March 29, 2017. You can register here.
