The March for Science is the "first step of a global movement to defend the vital role science plays in our health, safety, economies, and governments." On April 22, 2017, concerned citizens will come together to call for science that upholds the common good, and to ask political leaders and policymakers to enact evidence-based policies in the public interest. The primary march will be in Washington, DC, but there are satellite marches occurring in more than 500 locations worldwide, and three of those locations are here in BC! Whether you're a scientist or science enthusiast, you're invited to dust off your trainers and hit the streets.
