Science World’s Project DIY for girls is back! The goal of the program is to equip young girls with the skills and do-it-yourself know-how to jump-start an exciting journey into the Maker world. Girls will get to tinker with electronics, learn to write code and explore other hands-on skills like carpentry and crafting.

When: Saturdays from September 10 – October 15, 10:30AM – 1:30PM

Who: Girls aged 12-15
Price: Science World Members $270 (5 sessions); General Public $300 (5 sessions)

Participants will cover 5 different topics over the course of the program:
· Carpentry
· Website coding
· A Fabric/Textile project
· Wearable circuitry
· 3D printing

Experts will introduce each topic, including the science and technology behind it. Afterwards, participants will be introduced to basic skills or have the opportunity to take their skills to the next level. Sessions will be designed in such a way as to allow participants to build on projects from previous weeks, but are ultimately open-ended to allow for creativity and exploration.
