Vancouver: Data Insights with Python for Beginners for Teen Girls ages 13 to 17 on August 19th

UBC Computer Science, in partnership with Amazon and Ladies Learning Code, will be holding a Python workshop for girls aged 13 to 17. This workshop is meant to introduce girls to coding in Python, which has a wide variety of uses from creating web applications to hardware programming to data analysis and scientific computing.

By the end of the workshop, you'll know the answers to the following:

- What is programming?
- What is Python used for?
- How do I write and run a python program?
- How can I read & analyze data in a file?

It is suggested you bring your own laptop but if you need to borrow one you can email them here to request one to borrow.
