In 2017, The WIMDI Speaker Series is inviting engaging speakers each month to give talks on topics that help women succeed at work.

Women, especially in male-dominated industries, will often choose an employer and career to fit around maternity leave and parenthood. This talk aims to look at your career and financial decisions in the years prior to your first pregnancy.

In this talk the following will be covered:
• Five financial strategies to help you transition smoothly to parenthood
• How to implement the strategies
• Common financial mistakes prospective parents make
• Worked examples to give you a solid view into the financial implications of parenthood.
