Ryan Allen is an Assistant Professor of Environmental Health in the Faculty of Health Sciences at Simon Fraser University, a position he has held since 2006. Dr. Allen received a BS in Physics from Denison University, and a Masters in Environmental Engineering and PhD in Environmental Health, both from the University of Washington. His research interests are in the area of air pollution exposure assessment and epidemiology, with particular interests in the cardiovascular effects of air pollution and air quality in Asia. In 2010, Dr. Allen was awarded the Joan M. Daisey Outstanding Young Scientist Award by the International Society of Exposure Science.
