Welcome to my web site! I am a PhD student in the Department of Linguistics at Simon Fraser University. My main research interest lies in Computer-Assisted Language Learning (CALL). My PhD research is on adaptive computer-assisted vocabulary instruction, that is, the use of student modeling to improve foreign language vocabulary acquisition . I am also interested in Second Language Acquisition, Language Teaching, German as a Foreign Language, and Computational Linguistics.

I received an M.A. degree in Linguistics from the Department of Linguistics at Simon Fraser University in 2005. I received a "Diplom" degree in Applied Modern Languages from the English Department at Justus Liebig University (Giessen, Germany) in 2002. My major was English and my minors were Spanish and business administration.
