Qumran - Dead Sea Scrolls

The Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered in this region around 1947 in a set of caves near Qumran, an ancient village in the region. The Dead Sea Scrolls are dated about 60 CE and were an extremely significant find of the time, consisting of approximately 900 manuscripts.
