In order to prepare students to collect and analyse experimental results using technology as required, it is expected that students will:

• design, conduct, and report on an experiment to investigate a relationship between two variables design and use a spreadsheet to make and justify decisions
• use a spreadsheet template to solve problems
• use a spreadsheet to answer “what-if” questions
• use the concept of unit rate to determine the best buy on a consumer item and justify the decision
• solve problems on the application of sales tax in Canada
• describe a variety of sales promotion techniques and their financial implications for the consumer
