The resulting grid coverages from ArcView are plotted on the grid output page with number of rows and columns as well as grid cell sizes indicated. The grid cell sizes chosen to use for this project are those reflecting a change of slope in the Moran and Geary graphs. Moran and Geary coefficients are calculated from S-Plus with variance and probability. Table 1 and Table 2 show these Moran and Geary statistics output from S-Plus with the associated test of significance statistics. Table 3 shows the descriptive statistics from SPSS of each grid coverage with number of cells in each grid, minimum and maximum, mean, standard deviation, and skewness and kurtosis. Figure 1 and Figure 2 show the graphs for Moran and Geary statistics. Analyses on these statistics are discussed in next topic following the link at the bottom of the page.
