    • Members of forum to meet once a month to discuss university issues, over the past months there have been some significant developments
    • Seven paid SFSS directors representing the student body are fired a unionized SFSS employee --> later reviled an accusation that she stole money
    • Accusations exist that this firing is surrounded by significant contradictory evidence and the release of both false and confidential information --> the URL with news links forwarded by the EVSCSU
    • These actions have developed a lot of mistrust within SFSS and between students and the directors
    • Forum has now voted to hold special general meeting to impeach the seven directors at the center of the issue, as well as the formation of more a self-regulating graduate issues group
    • Seven directors deny validity of meeting due to not meeting quorum --> quorum was met even though 7 directors plus staff were absent
    • Two days after forum, 7 directors held meeting for AGM --> AGM is important because it is the method in which all SU's to get funding
    • AGM was set for same time as SGM, different place
    • Two ways to impeach via SGM
      • 1) SFSS by law says >5% student opulation signs for meeting means directors must call SGM --> provincial Society Act says >10% -> legal advice says our bylaws trump if lower than provincial levels
      • 2) SGM may be called at forum
    • Sean sets a motion for a vote of non-confidence --> Adam suggests a discussion on current affairs and vote next week after people have been able to review the related debate in the media
      • Feeling amongst many is they the directors have blatantly lied and spoken have to students in classes, destroying reputation of person who was fired --> this broke their contractual agreement surrounding firing
      • Further loss of trust caused by the directors denial of forum meeting quorum (150 people present)
      • Accusations surrounding the fact that Shaun Hunsdale may or may not even be a current student of SFU and therefore is not eligible to be president --> accusations based on the fact that the Registrar could not successfully enroll Hunsdale in courses
      • Point of voting on non-confidence? To say that the EVSCSU officially does not have confidence
      • Speculation is that the results of these attempted impeachments and firing with head to court
    • Next Forum meeting is Wednesday, October 18th at 4:30
