Evergreen is a registered national charity founded in 1991. They are a national non-profit environmental organization with a mandate to bring nature to our cities through naturalization projects. Evergreen motivates people to create and sustain healthy, natural outdoor spaces and gives them the practical tools to be successful through its three core programs: Learning Grounds - transforming school grounds, Common Grounds - conserving publicly accessible land and Home Grounds - for the home landscape

Laskeek Bay Conservation Society
Active in conservation work in the Queen Charlotte Island archipelago for 20 years, LBCS provides volunteer and educational opportunities for people to help conserve the marine and terrestrial ecosystems in and around Laskeek Bay. Be sure to check out their internship and volunteer programs for some great field experience!

Port Moody Ecological Society (PMES)
The Port Moody Ecological Society (PMES) is a broadly-based, community supported, federally [Canada] registered, charitable non-profit society, incorporated under the British Columbia Societies Act, February 11, 1991.
PMES volunteers operate a salmon and trout hatchery, a water quality lab and public awareness/ community outreach programs, using salmon and trout life-cycle ecology as an instructional vehicle. Volunteering is mainly on a weekly basis: 9am-12pm on Saturdays.
The PMES operates from the Noons Creek Hatchery which is located at 300 Ioco Road, Port Moody (near the City Hall and the recreation centre. Head towards the soccer field and turn right; follow the wooden foot bridge.)

Wildlife Rescue Association of British Columbia
Wildlife Rescue is a rehabilitation facility for wild animals. They are currently looking for volunteers, and to learn more about this opportunity to work with wild animals, anyone interested should attend the next volunteer orientation night.
Wildlife Rescue is located at 5216 Glencarin Drive, Burnaby (right near the rowing pavilion on Burnaby Lake). Glencarin is located at the corner of Kensington and Sprott.
