Operated by the Arctic Institute
of North America, this
scientific base camp is situated
on the shores of Kluane Lake and has been operating in service of northern research
since 1961. KLRS offers accommodation in cabins, hot meals, hot showers, hot saunas, cold laundry and
a very cold lake on a per diem basis to researchers. We will typically stay at KLRS for one
week in June prior to the 4-6 week field season and for several days after the field season
in August.
