I am a member of the Physical Volcanology Group which concentrates on physical volcanology and the processes controlling persistently active volcanoes. We are currently studying geophysical, geochemical and remote sensing signatures to investigate precursory signals to volcanic activity, the mechanisms that trigger eruptions and the development of hydrothermal/geothermal systems.

I am also proud to be a member of the International Volcano Monitoring Fund which is "dedicated to serving volcanically-threatened communities in low- to middle-income countries by providing instrumentation, training, and education to monitor volcanic activity and raise awareness about the environmental hazards of active volcanoes".
