Media

The book and subsequent movie, Moneyball, revealed the power of analytics in sports. At Simon Fraser University, professor Tim Swartz and Harsha Perera have completed advanced analytics research in the sport of cricket. Cricket is the second biggest sport in the world after soccer, and has a fan base of more than 2.5 billion people. For Harsha, being a huge fan of cricket, coming from Sri Lanka to SFU to combine his love for sports and academics was a dream come true.
