Every semester the GSU holds various social events, both on and off campus, that allow geography students to interact and have fun. In addition, the GSU represents geography students to the Geography Department and the rest of the SFU community.

The GSU has positions on two Geography Department committees and SFSS Forum. We have one of the best common rooms on campus. The GSU Common Room is equipped with a fridge, microwave, kettle, and resource materials, along with our own wireless internet and is located at RCB 6102.
