Re: Zimbra HA using VMWARE

We are currently in the planning phase of migrating to VMWare. I've seen some people on the forums that are doing it without much issue. This post may be helpful: http://www.zimbra.com/forums/installation/14121-virtualization-zimbra.html

I've also been told that Zimbra has seen up to 25% overhead from VMWare, so you probably want to plan for that.

I currently have a single server test install in a VM right now that runs fine, but it doesn't get hit with a lot of traffic. What is your timeframe? If it's ahead of ours, I would definitely be interested to see how it fares for you. We plan to go live in December this year(gotta get off the Mac PPC's first).

Subject: Zimbra HA using VMWARE

Hi,

is anyone using VMWARE's Vmotion for HA? We are interested in this because we have a well developed virtual machine infrastructure but little experience of Red Hat clustering.
