Re: 7.2.1 shared calendar caveat, and trying to renew support

Rich,
It may be worth while to get a perpetual license from zimbra. We have one and every time a new feature comes out we get grandfathered in and issued a new license with the feature. When we have any issues with licenses we usually contact our sales guy who then in turn ends up contacting Lisa Drake from vmware for licenses.  Here is her email address ldrake@vmware.com.  Happy Hunting!!

Subject: 7.2.1 shared calendar caveat, and trying to renew support

I know others were sticking with 7.1.4 because of issues with 7.2. We upgraded to 7.2.1 a couple weeks ago, and we're mostly happy. Some VIP (assistants) and I experienced pain because I hadn't been aware of these:

As of 7.1.4, you could move appointments to/from shared calendars. After 7.2.0, you can't. It's not clear to me to what extent this will be fixed in 8.0.

On another note...

Has anyone been able to get a quote from Zimbra sales recently? We have "mostly" decided to stick with Zimbra for at least another year, but we won't be able to if I can't get a license renewal.
