The Department of Mathematical and Computational Sciences, University of Toronto Mississauga invites applications for a tenure-stream appointment in the field of Mathematics at the rank of Assistant Professor with an expected start date of July 1, 2011.
Candidates with research expertise in Algebra/Number Theory will be given preference; however exceptional candidates in any field of pure and applied mathematics are encouraged to apply.
The University of Toronto is an international leader in mathematics research and education, and the Department of Mathematical and Computational Sciences enjoys strong ties to other units within the University. The successful candidate for this position will be expected to participate actively in the Graduate Department of Mathematics at the University of Toronto. Applicants should have a Ph.D. in mathematics and must demonstrate excellent accomplishments and outstanding promise in research and must show evidence of excellence in teaching. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
