Center (UCCC) have initiated a recruitment for the position of Director of
the Biostatistics Shared Resource (BSR) at UCCC. The position will provide
major opportunities for leadership, mentorship, and scholarship, working
with a broad base of faculty and student focused on quantitative analysis
of cancer research.

We are asking for your help in spreading the word and this e-mail, about
this position to colleagues and faculty with possible interest. We are
committed to conducting a broad and comprehensive recruitment, and your
support in helping us identify possible candidates is much appreciated.

The BSR Director will manage the resource, assign research projects to BSR

administration. Applicants must possess a PhD or equivalent degree in

maintaining currently funded programs in cancer research, developing new
NCI-funded collaborative grants to support additional UCCC quantitative
researchers, and identifying new trans-departmental, multidisciplinary
programs that link cancer research and the Colorado Clinical and
Translational Sciences Institute research initiatives. Candidates can be
considered for either the Research series or the Tenure-eligible faculty
series based on qualifications and experience.  Research faculty must
demonstrate excellent leadership ability, independent and collaborative
research interest, student and junior faculty mentoring and be willing to
perform a small amount of teaching when and if opportunities become
available.  Tenure-track candidates should, in addition, be experienced
and interested in teaching graduate courses in biostatistics, mentoring
PhD, MS and MPH students in Biostatistics, Epidemiology and Health
Services Research and carrying out statistical methods research. All
candidates are expected to have a strong publication record.

The CSPH Department of Biostatistics and Informatics includes 20 PhD level
faculty members and offers PhD, MS and MPH degrees in biostatistics and
participates in the PhD Programs in Epidemiology, Health Services
Research, Bioinformatics and other MPH tracks in the CSPH and the various
clinical sciences degrees offered on campus. UCCC is a National Cancer
Institute-designated consortium comprehensive cancer center headquartered
