DEPARTMENT OF MATHEMATICS & STATISTICS, DALHOUSIE UNIVERSITY
The Department of Mathematics and Statistics at Dalhousie University
invites applications for a one year limited term Instructor position in
Statistics, beginning August 1, 2010.
The duties of the position consist of teaching three classes in each of
the Fall and Winter terms, and one class in the Spring term, 2011. The
classes to be taught will include first, second and third year courses in
Statistics or Probability. The instructor is responsible for all aspects
of teaching, grading and administration of the classes, and in addition,
is to be available for three hours per week outside of class times for
student consultation. The instructor reports to the Chair.
The candidate must possess a Ph.D. in Statistics or a closely related
discipline, and must have experience teaching large introductory
