Reporting to the Supervisor, Biostatistics; the biostatistician is responsible for performing statistical analyses of pre-clinical and clinical trial data.


Duties & Responsibilities:


Ø      Preparation and validation of SAS programs for the analysis and reporting of data from pre-clinical and clinical studies.

Ø      Preparation of electronic data submissions to regulatory authorities.

Ø      Development of Statistical Analysis Plans.

Ø      Assist in the preparation and review of statistical and results sections of pre-clinical and clinical study reports.

Ø      Support Data Management activities as needed.

Ø      Under supervision, fulfill the lead role for single studies.

Ø      Provide statistical consultation and analyses as required to departments outside Pre-Clinical and Clinical Research.




Qualified candidates will have a Masters Degree with appropriate specialization in Statistics with at least one year of Pre-clinical or Clinical Trial Design and Data Analysis experience in pharmaceutical industry.  Experience with SAS, SQL, JMP, Microsoft Excel, Access and Word.  The successful candidate must also have working knowledge of regression analysis, ANOVA, survival analysis, categorical data analysis, statistical process control, experimental design and exploratory data analysis.  Experience with CDISC and SAS certification will be considered an asset.  Must be flexible to handle multiple project responsibilities and able to meet project timelines.  Excellent organizational, analytical and problem solving skills, as well as excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills and have the ability to work as part of a team.
