Dear colleagues,
The Biostatistics Department at the Princess Margaret Hospital (PMH) invites applications for a permanent full-time biostatistician position. The biostatistician will support clinical and translational research staff within the Head and Neck Disease Site Group in all aspects of their research studies. Responsibilities include assisting with research design and protocol development, advising on data collection, analyzing data, interpreting and reporting results and helping to prepare and revise manuscripts. S/he will work under the supervision of a Ph.D. Biostatistician.
The successful candidate will have a Master’s degree in Biostatistics or equivalent, effective oral and written communication. S/he is expected to be a self-starter, working independently and in a team environment, and to manage several projects concurrently. A minimum of 2 years’experience in statistical consultation is strongly desired. Knowledge of human genetics and statistical genetics is an asset.  A working knowledge of SAS and/or R using a Windows platform is essential.
