Although this is in the states (New Jersey), it is a job opportunity.  Is it something you would post on the job list?  The last message in the thread is the contact person.

The first PhD graduate of our Department, Antara Majumdar, took a position in 2007 at Bristol-Meyers Squibb and is now involved in a search for three other PhD biostatisticians/statisticians with >5 years of relevant post-PhD experience. None of our graduates, and a very limited number of others in our sphere, meet the experience requirements. Perhaps some of you know qualified individuals who might  want to be aware of the BMS job openings? The job announcements can be seen by following the link below:

Judging from Antara's experience these would be good, high paying jobs with good benefits.

Hi Dr. Carter,

Many thanks for sending the word around! Yes, I am directly involved with the hiring process and it would be better if I received the CVs via email first. I know, there is a real scarcity of people with 5+ years of experience. But our management is quite rigid against  hiring people who do not already have enough work experience as a practicing statistician and those who do not have a PhD. We initially started looking for people with 7 to 10 years of experience, then they couldn’t find enough people interested and had to eventually lower it to 5+ years. I do not have a job announcement for these positions right now, however, these jobs are posted on our website, www.bms.com. The postings should come up easily with the keywords, ‘nonclinical biostatistics’ and  ‘associate director’. Also, anyone interested can directly call me at 203 677 7980 or email me at

Also, just FYI, we will be filling these positions very quickly, there’s tons of work that needs to done and there’s a big shortage of headcount right now. So, the hiring process will move very fast.
