Regular Full-time
Start date: August 01, 2012
Location: Nanaimo Campus 

Teach a range of University Mathematics courses, mainly at the first- or second-year level. Participate in departmental and university affairs and maintain a program of scholarly activity.

Candidates must demonstrate commitment to teaching, learning and student success through scholarship and institutional service. Successful candidates will participate in a wide range of activities outside the classroom, including student support; institutional, faculty and departmental committee meetings and other initiatives; and professional activities in keeping with their disciplines in and outside the institution.

Required Qualifications:
Ph.D. in Statistics or Mathematics from an appropriately accredited institution. Candidates must have the ability to teach at least one upper-level course offering and possess the ability to develop new courses, preferably in the areas of Statistics, Business Mathematics or Mathematics Education.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with course and program development and a background in Statistics, Mathematics Education or Business Mathematics.

Evidence of teaching ability at the post-secondary level (include teaching evaluations if available)
