Statistics – Assistant Professor: 9-month term appointment 
The Irving K. Barber School of Arts and Sciences at the University of British Columbia, Okanagan Campus, invites applications for a 9-month term appointment in Statisticsat the rank of Assistant Professor to begin August 1, 2013 or as soon as possible thereafter. 

Applicants should have a Ph.D. in Statistics or a closely related field. Candidates are expected to have an active research program and a strong commitment to excellence in teaching. The successful candidate would be expected to teach up to four courses. 

UBC is one of the world’s leading universities. The university has two distinct campuses, one in Vancouver and one in Kelowna. UBC’s Okanagan campus, located in the city of Kelowna, has over 8,400 students in six faculties, including strong graduate programs at all levels. -statement of teaching philosophy and evidence of teaching ability (eg. teaching evaluations
