McGill Department of Mathematics and Statistics: Tenure track position in Statistics
The Department of Mathematics and Statistics invites applications for a tenure-track position in Statistics. The Department welcomes applications at the Assistant Professor level, but more senior applicants will also be considered. The Department is specifically encouraging applications in the priority area of high dimensional, large or complex data settings, including high dimensional regression, computational statistics and statistical machine learning, multivariate modelling and spatial statistics.
The Department has research links across McGill University in the Faculty of Medicine and within the Research Institute of McGill University Health Centre (in Biostatistics, Human Genetics, the Genome Innovation Centre, and the Ludmer Centre for Neuroinformatics) and across the Faculty of Science (Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences, Physics, School of Computer Sciences). Applicants with applied interests in related fields are welcomed.
Candidates must have a doctoral degree at the date of appointment, and must have demonstrated excellence in methodological research in Statistics. They must also have the desire and potential to contribute to the educational programs of the Department at the graduate and undergraduate levels.
