The Biostatistics Department at the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre invites applications for a temporary (one year contract) full-time Biostatistician II position. The biostatistician will support clinical staff in all aspects of their research studies. Responsibilities include assisting with research design and protocol development, advising on data collection, analyzing data, interpreting and reporting results and helping to prepare and revise manuscripts.
The successful candidate will have a Master’s degree in Biostatistics or equivalent, excellent oral and written communication. S/he is expected to be a self-starter, work independently, and manage several projects concurrently. Several years’ statistical consulting experience is preferred. Experience using survival analysis methods is a definite asset. Strong programming skills in SAS or R using a Windows platform is essential.
