Salary $53,906.49 to $61,496.39 annually

The Research Analyst manages the data analysis portfolio for the Libraries Branch within the Ministry of Education. This position will be responsible for managing the collection, auditing and publication of library data, develops and conducts quantitative and qualitative research analysis based on internal and external sources of data, and provides conclusions and recommendations through briefings, presentations, and various data and information reports for the Ministry and the BC Public Library community.

Along with the ability to forge strong links with various levels of government, agencies and other stakeholders, you have a keen knowledge of research methodologies, survey design, and experience gathering, evaluating and synthesizing information from diverse sources. If you are a candidate with an interest in telling the story behind the numbers with strong analytical and communications skills and experience working with excel and other statistical software, we welcome your resume.  Experience working within a library environment and providing training would be an asset.

An eligibility list may be established. A Criminal Record Check is required. Occasional travel may be required with BC. 

In order for applicants to be considered for this position, their resume must clearly demonstrate that they have the following education and experience:

- Bachelor’s Degree in statistics, mathematics or social science field. 
- An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be considered (i.e. related diploma plus two years related experience; OR related certificate plus four years related experience).
- Experience with survey design.
- A minimum of two years of experience in data analysis and conducting qualitative and quantitative research.
