Salary:  $59,449.17 - $67,894.79 annually

The Ministry of Education’s Standards & Construction Branch is responsible for setting provincial policies, standards, best practices and specifications, as well as determining methodologies for provincial funding priorities of all K-12 school projects for the following Capital Division programs:

·         Seismic Mitigation Program

·         School Expansion Program

·         School Replacement Program

·         Building Envelop Program

·         School Enhancement Program

·         Carbon Neutral Capital Program

·         Bus Replacement Program

Additionally, the Branch administers the annual facilities condition inspection program to ensure the 60 School Districts across the province are maintaining, improving and planning their facilities assets according to government legislation, regulation, policy and best practices.

Reporting to the Manager of Facility Condition, this position will be responsible for the analysis and evaluation of program performance, and for providing recommendations for improvement. This will involve conceptualizing, developing, maintaining and implementing program frameworks that will gather qualitative and quantitative data, which will thereby aid  in detailed planning and cost/benefit analysis to determine costs associated with proposed program and/or policy changes, estimated savings and business case improvements.

Qualifications for this role include:

·         Diploma or degree in public administration, business administration, statistics, engineering, facility management, or related discipline, or equivalent.

  • Experience in analyzing and evaluating program and policy performance.
  • Experience in using and/or creating informational systems (such as in Excel, Word, Sharepoint, Access, VFA, etc).
