The School of Actuarial Science at Université Laval invites applications for a tenure-track or tenured faculty position in actuarial management of asset risk and financial mathematics.
The applicant should have solid research experience in actuarial management of asset risk, financial mathematics, and/or quantitative risk management. The successful candidate will hold the Chair in Educational Leadership in actuarial management of asset risk - Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec . He or she will have access to a fund for pedagogical innovation, and research and teaching activities will benefit from a close partnership with la Caisse .
First French-language university in North America, Université Laval is among the most important universities in Canada. It offers a select environment in the heart of Quebec City, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Université Laval has always been a leader in actuarial science, offering a bachelor's degree program since 1968. Its School of Actuarial Science is unique in Canada, and offers master's and doctoral programs in actuarial science. Its endowed Chair of Actuarial Science has significant funding to support research projects.
