Department/Program: Department of Mathematics and Statistics

Description of Position:

We are seeking statistics instructor to teach introductory statistics with application in Science, Business or Health Care.

Required Qualifications:

Master’s degree in Statistics, PhD (completed or in progress) is recommended.
Excellent oral and written communication skills are required.
Post-secondary teaching experience with exposure to active learning is preferred.
Industrial experience in data analytics is desirable.
Duties and Responsibilities

Besides regular teaching responsibilities, successful candidate is expected to show ability and willingness to contribute to departmental initiatives.

Length of appointment: Sept 1, 2017 to Dec 31, 2017 (4 months), with one month preparation time.  Possibility for renewal upon positive evaluation.

* Please note that the position workload will be based on departmental budget and operational needs.*

Start Date: August 1, 2017

Salary Range: Salary placement is on the Langara Faculty Association instructor salary scale, in accordance with qualifications and experience.
