Amity
for Tealeaves
Amity is a
E-Commerce Platform
Self Made is a digital platform for young urbanites to discover new fashion possibilities through a emergent filter system. It guides potential customers into a relationship with the brand to create a larger market and can lead to an direct overall increase in sales.
Who & Why
Designed as a concept for Tealeaves, local grown luxury brand that sells tea products to five star hotels and online. The company currently sees its focus on wholesale and B2B market. Tealeaves wants to explore the consumer market and the potential in experience design and the digital domain.
How
We found opportunity within the idea of cultivating Identity through Intimate Dialogue. Encourage emotional expression between consumers and the business. To create this dialogue we found inspiration in the blog, Humans of New York. Asking a intimate question that can illicit a unique answer. For Amity we ask the question “For Us, Home is in a cup of tea, where is home to you?”, being a mobile application you may use it while discovering Tealeaves through hotels or restaurants and you won’t be home. Allowing you to reflect deeply and give a authentic answer.
Increasing Traffic
To incentives the process and encourage consumers to share their stories and engage with Tealeaves we looked to how you can be recommended Teas based on what you submit. That could generate traffic to the online store to discover the teas but how about completing the process? Through our meetings with the company we discovered it is possible to economically print custom bottom labels on the tea tins. With that knowledge we looked to turn tins you buy online into collector items of sorts allowing you to build a collection of teas and custom labels with your stories on them.
