WHAT IF YOU CAN LOVE A DOOR?
WE ARE VANAIR DESIGN
Founded in 2012 by ambitious UBC students in the Faculty of Applied Science & Commerce, VanAir Design provides solutions for sustainable buildings and retrofits.
Our Mission: To support the advancement of building design and improve indoor environmental quality.
IMAGINE A DOOR THAT IMPROVES YOUR...
HEALTH
We spend 90% of our time indoors. What if a door can help facilitate airflow between different indoor areas in a confined space?
PRODUCITIVITY
Ventilated doors already exist on the market, but these solutions often comprimise sound insulation. What if there's a door that faciliates ventilation but still blocks out sound so maximum productivity can be achieved?
BUILDING DESIGN
What if a door's ventilation properties simplify building designs and provide a higher degree of design flexibility?
INTRODUCING THE VANAIR DOOR
HOW THE VANAIR DOOR WORKS:
The VanAir Door features a silenced ventilation pathway that is elegantly integrated into the door. This allows air to flow in and out of an enclosed space while implementing acoustic attenuation technologies to provide sound privacy as well.
The VanAir door helps to faciliate air movement within a building, allowing for a reduction in ducting and space allocated to building services. This simplifies building design and provides specifiers with higher degree of design flexibility. As a result, the VanAir Door creates value for new construction and retrofit projects.
SEE IT IN ACTION
VANAIR DOOR AT THE
UNIVERSITY OF BRITISH COLUMBIA
BUCHANAN C BUILDING
Faced with constant heat accumulation inside the building, VanAir Door retrofits faciliate airflow between spaces to dissipate heat throughout the building.
CIRS BUILDING
The CIRS building is a world-class showcase of sustainable, 21st-centry building construction. An innovative solution such as the VanAir Door integrates itself comfortably in this advanced learning space.
HENRY ANGUS BUILDING
Home to the Sauder School of Business at the University of British Columbia, this building houses Canada’s future business leaders. VanAir Doors were insstalled to help the students and professors achieve maximum productivity.
