Career Exploration
Career Exploration Program(CEP) is the unique program created by Career Services and International Students Group at Simon Fraser University, to better prepare students with diverse cultural background in a real professional world. This program consists of a series of workshops in self-assessment, career awareness, resume and cover letter writing, and interview skills, in addition to one-to-one career consultation offered by career advisors on campus and networking events. Each element of the program has been tailored to more multicultural students. This program is designed to:
- Provide better understanding of hidden influence in life that might impact on career decision
- Promote intercultural understanding and different career environment adaptation
- Assist students to utilize their unique cultural assets into job seeking
- Teach necessary job hunting skills
- Better prepare students in a working world
Eligibility of the Program
- You are an international students or exchange students/scholars;
- You can speak more than one language;
- You feel the personal linkage outside of Canada;
- You think you are multicultural and would like to better adapt to Canadian job searching environment.

- Attend any CEP workshops for free!
- Receive first-hand career information, such as job posting, career tips and networking sessions.
- Obtain volunteer opportunities of on and off campus events, conference and parties.

Download the “CEP application form” here, fill out all cells and e-mail back to isg.cep@gmail.com.
Once you have been approved by our program assistant, you will receive a confirmation letter from CEP.
