ISG (International Students Group) is constituency group funded by Simon Fraser Student Society to protect international students' interests. ISG started in 2003, responding to a significant increasing tuition fee for international students. Anyone who has international background considered as ISG membership automatically. You don't have to be an International student to be a member. As long as you care about international issues or anything's related to international students, you are encouraged to join us.
In the following several years, ISG keeps lobbying government for registration issues, international students off-campus work permits and more transparent financial aid system. As stated in our mission, ISG's existence is for presenting all international students benefits and what we believe are social equality, cultural diversity and sustainability. If you feel about you are keen to these values, ISG is a place for you.
Furthermore, there's no membership fee and everyone in ISG is doing volunteering job to provide international students better services on campus. We highly appreciate all volunteers' dedication and other organizations' generous supports. Participating in the International Students Club, either attending our coolest social events or becoming a volunteer like everyone does in ISG, will help you expand your network, learn new skills, understand other cultures and work toward a better community.
