Hello, and welcome to my tutoring site!
My name is Johnson and I am a private computer science tutor for college and university students located in the Greater Vancouver area. I received my M.Sc. degree in Computing Science from SFU in 2009, and my B.Sc. degree in Honours Computer Science from UBC in 2006. I have been helping students for over 8 years--as a peer tutor in high school, to an undergraduate TA at UBC, and a graduate TA at SFU.
I know how challenging it can be for a new student in computer science to start thinking and talking like a computer scientist. In order to excel in this field, students must have a good grasp of the basics and foundations, which are normally taught in their first 2 years of study. If you are currently struggling through your 1st and 2nd year computer science courses, then having a private tutor can help immensely. A good tutor will help you understand the course material, answer questions, and help you achieve your long term academic goals.

To cancel an appointment, I kindly ask for a minimum 24
hours notice.
Rate
| Number of students | Hourly rate per student |
| 1 | $30 |
| 2 | $20 |
| 3 or more | $15 |
Each tutoring session lasts either 1, 1.5, or 2 hours. For
example, a 1.5 hours session for 1 student would be 1 x 1.5 x $30 =
$45.
Payment
I accept cash or cheque at the end of each tutoring session.
A signed receipt will be provided with all forms of payment.
