Thierry Henry is one of the most talented soccer players today. Defenders always have a tough time guarding him because he is so skillful and has such high pace. He is both-feet player and he is very good in the air. He is a selfless team player and always tries to get his teammates involve in the game.
Before he joined Arsenal in 1999 summer, he played for AS Monaco FC and Juventus. He has played a huge role to guide Monaco to the French title in 1997 and UEFA Champions League semi-final in 1998. He was a part of the French squad that won European Junior Championship 1996, World Cup 1998, European Cup 2000 and Confederation Cup 2003.
Arsenal’s head coach Arsene Wenger sees him as the long term replacement of his fellow national teammate Nicolas Anelka. . 2000/01 is a hugely successful campaign for Henry, not only he has captured the golden boot in the Premiership, his team is the second team in England that won both the Premiership title and FA Cup in a season. He has been selected into the UEFA team of the year in 2002, and he was a candidate for the FIFA World Player of the Year and European Footballer of the year over the last couple years.
