I got my BA degree in Social Sciences at NTNU. I am currently an MA student in Cognitive and Biological Psychology, but I am now on a one year study leave from my institution (NTNU). I'm at SFU because I got a scholarship from the department of Psychology at NTNU to pursue my own research interests for one year, which are cognitive neuroscience and neuroimaging. I was then invited to the Language and Brain Laboratory by Dr. Yue Wang to conduct my research here, using the EEG equipment in this lab. I'm working on a project in audiovisual speech perception, which is part of a collaboration between SFU and NTNU.

My primary research interest is in the effects of language experience on speech perception and production, in particular, on the perception and production of Mandarin tones.  I am also very interested in pitch processing and speech training for non-native speakers.  Currently, I am working at Language and Brain Lab (LABlab) on a pitch processing project and am also in charge of the Audio-Visual production project.  Both projects are led by Dr. Yue Wang.
