I got my BA degree in Social Sciences at NTNU. I am currently an MA student in Cognitive and Biological Psychology, but I am now on a one year study leave from my institution (NTNU). I'm at SFU because I got a scholarship from the department of Psychology at NTNU to pursue my own research interests for one year, which are cognitive neuroscience and neuroimaging. I was then invited to the Language and Brain Laboratory by Dr. Yue Wang to conduct my research here, using the EEG equipment in this lab. I'm working on a project in audiovisual speech perception, which is part of a collaboration between SFU and NTNU. |

My primary research interest is in the effects of language experience on speech perception and production, in particular, on the perception and production of Mandarin tones. I am also very interested in pitch processing and speech training for non-native speakers. Currently, I am working at Language and Brain Lab (LABlab) on a pitch processing project and am also in charge of the Audio-Visual production project. Both projects are led by Dr. Yue Wang. |
