Here's the answer: From: http://www.google.ca/search?q=cache:a3ceD- StYYEC:www.csee.usf.edu/~jrasmuss/class10/tsld043.htm+IPv5&hl=en What happened to IPv5? Or, ""Why are we skipping from IPv4 to IPv6?" Answer: IPv5 never existed. The version number "5" in the IP header was assigned to identify packets carrying an experimental non-IP real-time stream protocol called ST. A blurb is here: http://www.glossary-tech.com/ipv5.htm IPV5 Internet Protocol Version 5 IP V5 was reserved for ST-2 - Stream protocol version 2 designed to control the data flow. It was abandoned for RSVP. ST-2 is documented here: http://www.faqs.org/rfcs/rfc1819.html Glendon ****************************************************************************** From owner-ensc835-g1@rm-rstar.sfu.ca Mon Feb 18 11:48:59 2002 To: ensc835-g1@sfu.ca From: Shufang WU Cc: ljilja@cs.sfu.ca Date: Mon, 18 Feb 2002 11:48:41 PST Subject: Optimize and Analyze MPLS Implementations Hi, To guys who are going to implement MPLS. Hope the following will be helpful! Dear Shufang: Per our conversation on Friday, you have been signed up for "Optimize and Analyze MPLS Implementations". I will confirm with you on the Web Demo once it is confirmed that will have it. Thank you, Sasha Sasha L. Bailey Marketing Manager, University Program OPNET Technologies Inc. The name of the structure is Prg_List. OPNET provides functions to allocate memory, insert elements in it, read/remove elements, free up the memory after use. One such function is prg_list_access (list_ptr, pos_index), which allows to get elements specified at pos_index from the list. Browse through OPNET online tutorial. You will find these functions under Programming Support Package. Good luck! Dear Professor, I surfed the ATM Forum and find the site is useful, http://www.atmforum.com/pages/libraryfs1.html There is a PowerPoint Presentation of what you taught in class named intermediate_atm.zip. I think it is better than the CBT in class. Cc: ljilja@cs.sfu.ca Folks, Shufang Wu pointed out that ATM Forum We site has a nice set of presentations that you may access: See: http://www.ensc.sfu.ca/people/faculty/ljilja/ENSC835/#Web ATM Forum http://www.atmforum.com/ Library http://www.atmforum.com/pages/libraryfs1.html Presentations Intermediate ATM (Note: the file is quite large: 2706905.) The slides are very nice. Nevertheless, there is no associate text that I find quite useful and informative in the ATM CBT course. Hence, I still suggest that you also browse through the ATM CBT course. There is a nice ftp GUI tool : wsftp (could be downloaded from http://www.ipswitch.com/Products/WS_FTP/ for 30-days evaluation ) 2. copy files in DISK 1/2 to two diskettes. 3. use those diskettes to install on local PC. Notice, the diskes are only allowed to distributed internal for education purpose. So, students could not distribute outside of the class withour agreement from you or ATM Forum. Cheers Willaim ******************************************************************************
