Egress Queue Manager (EQM)
The Egress Queue Manager (EQM) is a functional block design used in two Ethernet port controller ICs.
Part of the EXACT Ethernet switching chip set at PMC-Sierra
EQM Design and debug completed by Summer 1999
Realized in silicon and produced in volume
Project Scope:
- Functional design and rearchitect from draft specification
- Design capture using Verilog register transfer level (RTL) code
- Simulation (RTL and gate level)
- Synthesis (RTL to gate level netlist)
US Patent 6,463,484 B1 granted October 8, 2002 for “Egress port scheduling using memory efficient request storage.”
