Speaking about my exergaming research
In August, I spoke twice about my research study: in Calgary at an exergaming symposium organized by Larry Katz (Director of the Canadian Exergaming Research Centre at the University of Calgary) and in Redmond Washington at the Serious Play Conference.
On May 18, 2011, I spoke about my research at Games for Health in Boston - how women over forty use exercise fitness games as part of a program of physical activity. My slides are also available through SlideShare - a short report on the first group of participants in my study. I wrote about the study in a publication for CHI 2011 in the Doctoral Consortium and for the GRAND Network of Centres of Excellence in May. Vicki Moulder, Ron Wakkary and I coauthored a CHI Case Study paper on Social Engagement in Public Art, allowing us to examine the Talking Poles project in detail.
