Hungry Aliens

by Lanz Singbeil
In this simple puzzle game students practice grouping by 2's, 3's, and 4's and matching with the correct total. It encourages primary age students to begin thinking in terms of multiplying numbers rather than just adding them together. This game can be used to help solidify understanding of basic multiplication concepts or just as a fun extra activity.

How To Play?

Each alien is asking for a certain number of sandwiches that will make them full. You feed them by dragging one of 3 groups of sandwiches and dropping it onto the alien. You can't over-feed the aliens and you can't underfeed them. Sometimes you will need to group the aliens together in order to give them the right number of sandwiches. You can group aliens together by grabbing one and dropping it onto another of the same color.

There is also a "reset" button that will re-load the planet and a "back" button that will abandon the current planet and take you back to the world map. The separator (bottom left) can be used to un-group aliens if you realize they are not in the group you want.
