Postdoctoral position at the Laboratory for Alternative Energy Conversion (LAEC), at Simon Fraser University (SFU)
We are hiring a post-doc who has a proven sound expertise in thermodynamic and refrigeration analysis, compact heat exchanger design, and computational fluid dynamic. A strong background in thermofluidic modeling and experimentation with some knowledge and experience in prototyping and verification/validation analysis is key.
Additional and hands-on expertise in heat pump systems, heating ventilating air conditioning (HVAC), and other emerging thermal energy management systems is desirable. A Ph.D. in mechanical or chemical engineering completed within the last five years, or soon to be completed, is required.
We are looking for a highly motivated, self-starting candidate interested to interact with academic and industrial experts. Excellent written, oral, and presentation skills are required. If approved, funding for up to 3 years will be available. The candidate will be expected to work closely with the industrial partner, provide input to graduate students, produce publishable results, and publish frequently.
