Who Am I?

I was born in Semnan in an educated family. My father is an M.S. graduate in National Development from Pahlavi University and worked as a Director in a research station. My mother, a veterinarian of Tehran University, was a professor in Semnan Medical University.
From childhood I was very interested in structure and function of mechanical and electrical devices. When I was 8 years old, I received a present from my cousin (a Commodore 128); this was the beginning of my attraction to the field of computer programming. Using this Commodore I wrote my first program when I was only 8 years old.
My interest in computer increased, so that when I was 12 years old, most of my free times were spent on programming and working on computer. I passed my middle and high school studies in the talented student school of Semnan, an institute under the supervision of NODET (National Organization for Developing Exceptional Talents). I was always ranked among top three students at school.
When I was in the first year of my high school, I spent the summer break in Tehran (capital of the country) and learned how to interface computers to the real world. In the third year of high school, I thought about a way to facilitate the communication of blinds with computer. My friends and I invented a device that was selected as the best electro-mechanical invention in Kharazmi festival, a national competition for outstanding inventions, and was recognized by president Khatamy.
In the university entrance exam, I was accepted to study in Sharif University of Technology, one of the best universities in Iran. I studied in Hardware Engineering and I was always among top three students during my bachelor study. In the second year of my bachelor study, I was hired by Tazarv Afzar Company, which is specialized in Computer Telephony and Call Center products. I worked in research and development (R&D) of this company for about 4 years. My B.Sc. project is titled "Design and implementation of the control board of a Remotely Operated Vehicle”. Since I was one of the best students in my department, I was chosen as a talented student and had the chance to begin my masters study without taking part in the entrance exam. Before being aware of that, I attended the entrance exam and ranked 2nd among more than 7500 participants. I started my masters thesis as a member of Image Processing Laboratory (IPL) in Computer Engineering Department of Sharif University of Technology. My master thesis is titled “Error Concealment for H.264/AVC”, in which I proposed and implemented an algorithm to reconstruct the missing parts of video frames that can occur as a result of noisy channels in wireless communications.
