ENSC201 Assignment #2 Due Sept 19, 2007 (5%)

Business Card

1. Prepare your business card. Make it real. It can be personal (e.g. a "name card" or relate to an existing "business" or activity or your team projects).
Please submit one of your cards along with item #2 (below).

Before designing you business card, I suggest you read: http://www.sfu.ca/~mvolker/biz/buscard.htm.

Also, as part of this assignment, practice giving out your business card (to an instructor or TA). You should take these with you to the VEF.

2. There will be a short in-class quiz relating to this assignment and material covered in class. This will be done between 2:30 and 2:40 on Sep 19.
    (see below)

Notes:

A business card (called a "name card" in many countries) is very important in that it helps you make new (and hopefully useful) contacts. Exchanging business cards is a very ingrained business tradition. You can make these up simply by using some pre-printed forms and the templates that come with MS-WORD. Always carry a few with you. Should the card relate to your team, personal or other affiliation? You decide. Go with what you can make the best use of on a regular basis. In other words, this card is for you to use - not just for this assignment!

Note - late submissions not accepted (ie grade= 0.0) unless prior arrangements have been made at least 24 hrs in advance. No exceptions!
