Further Info: Notification: 2016-2017 NSERC Engage Grant Application Deadline



The Office of Research Services has received the following information which we are forwarding to our e-mail list members:


Further to the e-mail message that NSERC has sent, please ensure that your application is in submit mode no later than Friday February 17, 2017 by 3pm British Columbia time. Although NSERC has stated that application must be received at NSERC by midnight Ottawa time on February 17 (which is 9pm British Columbia time) ORS staff will be unable to submit applications after 4:30pm.

Please ensure that you also send a fully signed SFU signature sheet with all the signatures on it to ors@sfu.ca as ORS staff require that sheet prior to the checking and submission of the application to NSERC. The signature sheet can be found here: http://www.sfu.ca/ors/forms/SFUsigsheet.html

The application must also be in submit mode on the NSERC site.

Notification: 2016-2017 NSERC Engage Grant Application Deadline

 

This email is being sent to notify you of the NSERC Engage Grant application deadline for the 2016-2017 fiscal year.

 

February 17, 2017 is the application deadline for NSERC Engage Grants to be awarded in the 2016-2017 fiscal year. Applications must be received at NSERC by midnight Ottawa time on February 17th (see note above regarding ORS deadline time of 3pm British Columbia time). Engage Grant applications submitted by the Research Grants Office to NSERC after this date will fall into the 2017-2018 NSERC fiscal year.

  • -Effective April 1, 2015, the opportunity previously available to colleges through Level 1 Applied Research and Development Grants is now available through Engage Grants for colleges.
  • -Effective January 15, 2016, company partners must have at least two full-time employees and must have been in operation for at least two years, in addition to meeting other requirements outlined in the Industrial Participation section. There is also a new limit on the number of Engage Grants for a company partner per fiscal year, effective April 1, 2016.
  • -Effective January 15, 2016, University applicants must have received an individual or small team peer-reviewed grant from NSERC within the past six years, as explained in the Requirements for university-based applicants section. Effective April 1, 2016, university researchers will be limited to one Engage Grant per fiscal year.
